Preamble

It was started in the year 2003 in campus of Govt Rajaji Hospital, Madurai with annual intake of 25 students in B.Sc (N)-4 years course and it was increased into 50 students in the year 2006. Now, Govt of Tamilnadu has issued order to enhance the intake into 100 per year from the AY 2024-25.
M.Sc (N) -2 years course with annual intake of 25 students (5 branches) has been started in the year 2009. Now, Govt of Tamilnadu has issued order to enhance the intake into 50 students per year from AY 2024-25.
Govt of Tamilnadu has issued order to commence Post Basic B.Sc (N) course (2 years) from AY 2024-25 with annual intake of 50 students.
Both B.Sc (N) and M.Sc (N) courses were recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, Tamilnadu Nurses and Midwives council, Chennai and affiliated with TN.Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai.
